In China we have a dynamic team of local board members who voluntarily sacrifice their time to run Morning Star Foundation in China. We are unable to share about these team members individually at this time, but will share more about them with our supporters as we are able.
Uganda Team
Simon
Moreen
Samalie
Our Uganda office is run by three skilled locals: Simon, Moreen, and Samalie. Simon is our Program Manager, who ensures that everything is running smoothly day in and day out at the office and in the field with the families we work with. Moreen is our Social Worker who connects with our families and walks alongside them from the time they first reach out to Morning Star, all the way through following up with them and connecting them to local resources after they have returned home from surgery. Samlie is our Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse who also walks the road of CHD with our families and travels to India with them when the time comes for their child’s operation. These three individuals operate Morning Star Foundation Uganda with passion, empathy, and sacrifice. We are so grateful they are a part of our team!
Jordan Team
In Jordan we have a unique partnership with Global Hope Network International (GHNI). GHNI is a humanitarian aid organization working with refugee families in the Middle East. While doing their work to bring relief to the refugee population in Jordan, they find families whose children are in need of heart surgeries and connect us with them. We deeply value our partnership with GHNI and could not do our work in Jordan without them!
